Oh no, day 6 of 7
I can't believe we are already this far into our vacation! Today we drove back to Hell to have our passports stamped from Hell then we went in search of a beach. I can't say we've seen any bad beaches, but with the sea weed problem, some are better than others. Some, including the one we are staying on are so full of sea weed that you would have to swim about 30 feet out just to get through it. I like to be able to see what I'm swimming through or what might be in the water with me. We started at cemetery beach, which was beautiful but no changing rooms. Since none of us were in swim suits we kept driving. The next one had changing rooms (well, a bathroom) so we stayed. It was called smith barcadere. Again beautiful, no sea weed, but the waves were crazy. We floated around a bit and went in search of the next one. Someone told us there are a lot of turtles at spot beach, so that was our next stop. Another beautiful find, but no bathrooms and no turtles to be found. We stayed for quite a while. Bubba and I snorkled, but there wasn't much to see. On the way back to the hotel we stopped for takeout at a bar be que place. It's called big tree bar be que, because as the name implies, it is under a big tree. They are only open on Sunday, Wednesday, and Friday and on major holidays. I'm not a big fan of bbq, but bubba and Tracey both liked it. I almost forgot. We also went to Camana Bay for the farmer's market. It was very small, but people were friendly and that's where we found out about spot beach. Best thing, there was free wifi! I miss my wifi at home. Another early night... Until tomorrow
