So today

Again we didn't wake up with a plan, nothing unusual there for us. We tried to find someplace to go ziplining, but much to our surprise, we needed reservations in advance. That idea needed to be scrapped. On to plan B. We decided to go the Cueva Ventana. They have tours every hour on the hour so off we went. Maybe it's the short attention spans, but on our way there we saw a sign for the Arecibo Observatory. So we started following the signs. Up and up we went, and just when we thought we must have done something wrong, we were there. Of course as everything seems to be here, you park at the bottom of the hill and climb, climb, climb to the building. It was $12 plus tax each to get in. There are a lot of interactive displays, and a movie. After that there's a short discussion about the telescope. It's very interesting. With that under our belts we started to drive back to the caves. Their web site said they close at 4 and our maps app said we would be ther at 3:55, cutting it very close. The directions left us in the middle of the highway, and then told us to turn around. Yikes! Where was it? Then I remembered a review said something about a gas station, so we turned around and headed for the station. It is right next to it. We parked, but found out we were too late for the tour. For some reason that we're not going to complain about, they had one at 5, yay! The trip wasn't in vain! I backed out. The reviews I read made it sound a little too strenuous for me. I'm a little tired of being hot and sweaty every day. Bubba and Bill took the tour. I think they enjoyed it. They saw bats and cockroaches (that sealed the deal for me, I'm so glad I didn't go) and the photos of the view looked awesome. The tour was about $20 each and they got to wear helmets. Off to bed again!
