It's almost over
It's definitely been a fun ride. Yesterday was a day at sea and we tried the specialty Mexican restaurant. We don't really have to do that again. It wasn't that good, it was kind of like buffet food that was just presented better. Then we went to the cover all bingo, man is that slow 💤. We watched some of a Q&A with Melissa Etheridge that was hosted poolside. Ok, it's way too hot to do much by the pool, so we didn't stay long. Last night was our night to see Melissa Etheridge in the main theater, wow does she put on a great show. She had some survivors from the Pulse nightclub massacre, it was very moving. She has a song called Pulse about it and the proceeds have gone to help the victims. After the show we roamed around for a bit, but it was late and I was tired, so off to bed.
Today was a day in Cozumel. We took a taxi to the Paradise Beach. It was nice. The taxi was $15 each way and it's $3 to get onto the beach and you have to spend at least $10 each on food/ beverages. The food was very good. We even had tacos from a taco food truck, yes, in Mexico! Nothing like living life dangerously. We sat under palm trees in the shade and snorkeled under the pier. There were lots of fish including a barracuda and a couple of sting rays. It was fun and only about a 20 minutes ride from the pier. When we got back on board we went to the concierge room, then ate and started another night of music. We saw Melissa Crispo in the piano bar then Crystal Bowersox in the main theater. Again it was over late, but there was a jam session going on in the Centrum. We stopped and watched until after 2am!! It was a lot of fun to watch. It was mostly the back people in all the bands playing together, but some passengers joined in too. It was pretty cool. Ok, I'm exhausted... beddy bye time!
