Viva Las Vegas!

We're here in Vegas for a couple of reasons.  One there's a glass show at the South Point Casino and I guess I need to spend money on a bunch of stuff I really don't need, and two the sun is out!  It's been such a long winter I almost forgot what that glowing orb in the sky really was.  Today it was in the mid seventies, while it was still in the forties at home.  I don't think this winter will ever end :(
We got in around 11:00, rented a car, checked into the Mirage and went straight to the show.  Yes, I did have to wipe the drool off my chin a few times when I saw things I wanted, but we do have to show some restraint, and we're going back tomorrow!
After we roamed around the whole thing, we finally went to get something to eat.  I found a Mexican restaurant on TripAdvisor that got great reviews, so we went in search of it.  It's called El Dorado Cantina. The reviews were spot on, the food was great, a little pricy for Mexican food that is off the beaten path, but it was great.  I had a mole sampler, but as usual could only eat half of it.. So yummy though!  And the staff was extremely friendly and the chef even came out to talk to us and make sure everything was ok.  From there we went in search of the Container Park that I had heard about somewhere.  It's a small area that is built out of recycled shipping containers.  They are very much into sustainability and recycling. There are a few stores, restaurants and bars.  We didn't eat there because we just came from dinner, but we did listen to a little music and bubba had a beer.  We may go back again tomorrow.  I'm exhausted, getting up at 3:30 does that to me, so even though we are in Vegas on a Friday night, I think I will be asleep before 9:00, man are we getting old!
