Ok, third try

I started this Sunday, the first day of our cruise, but now I can't find it, so here we go again. Galveston is not an easy port to leave from. I suppose if you lived in Texas it would be, but otherwise not so much. We flew 4.5 hours to Houston's George Bush airport. Stayed at an airport hotel, Towne Suites by Marriott, which we got to by their shuttle bus, a 45 minute wait for a 10 minute drive, the hotel itself was ok, but there's nothing near it, it's a $50 cab ride to downtown each way, and there's only one restaurant within walking distance. At least the restaurant was good. It was called Good Eats, and the mesquite chicken was delicious, as were the nachos made with fajita chicken. To add to the inconvenience, the cruise port is a 90 minute bus ride from the airport. So, Sunday morning we were back on a shuttle bus to the airport, then a big bus to the port. It made for a long day. The lines at the cruise port were huge! There were metal detectors before check in, and it took forever to get through. Too many guns in Texas, hmmm that's a thought... The ship is nice, The Liberty of the Seas, it's big and was refurbished in 2016, so it's like new. There's a flow rider, a couple of water slides and a rock climbing wall. We haven't used any of it yet. The only thing I don't like is there's no covered pool area. It's been chilly. It was only in the 50's when we boarded, I know, better than Boston in January, but not exactly pool weather. Yesterday was a day at sea. It was mostly filled with eating and napping, not too bad, but even much further south the weather was still cool. We got a balcony this time around, and unless the sun was directly shining into our little space, it was still too chilly to sit out there. Today, day 3 of 7, is our first port of call, we're in Cozumel, Mexico 🇲🇽. It's an early departure, all aboard is at 3:30, so I think we are just going shopping. Well, I guess I have to get ready. Let's see if I can find wifi to post this... hopefully I won't loose it again.

Well, I did loose this again, but I copied it first, so I just had to paste the majority of the contents. We are in Cozumel. We spent a lot of money, of course on me, bubba tried to get a shave, but they were full, and now we are in a coffee shop using the free wifi. The weather is beautiful, but we have to be back on board way to early to do much.... there's always a next time
