Koper, slovenia

Ok, so I didn't have a lot of wifi on the trip, so I have to update this whole thing now that I'm home. The first day in port was in Koper, Slovenia. We went on a great private tour through four seasons travel, www.bledholidays.com, the tour guide's name is Graeme Chuter. He is a great tour guide. He's English, so there were no issues with an accent, well except for the differences between the two countries. He took us to the country's capital, Ljubljana, it's a quaint and pretty city. I could have wandered around for hours. It's very clean and seems very safe. the whole country has only been independent for 20 years. they used to be part of Yugoslavia until "91 when they won their independence. so the same year they got their independence, Bubba lost his by marrying me (LOL.) From there we went to Bled Castle and Bled Lake. It was beautiful! We took an optional trip to have lunch in an alpine village. It reminded me so much of being in Austria, it was just great. the tour was wonderful and I would recommend it to anyone who asked. After we got dropped off back at the ship, we walked around the town of Koper. It would have been better if the stores were open, but it was still nice. Bubba reminded me of all the money I saved by not being able to go shopping!
