San Diego Mission and seals...

We got up this morning and headed off to the San Diego Mission. It was very peaceful and beautiful. It was founded in1769 then relocated to its current location in 1774. The gardens are colorful and diverse. We were there at noon so we got to hear the peeling of the bells. The bells ranged in weight from 800 pounds to 1200 pounds. They were LOUD! We went to lunch back in Old Town at O'Hungry's. it was ok. Kind of like diner food, but it was cheap and right across the street from the church. After lunch, Dennis left. He had to go to a work event Monday night. It was great seeing him again. Bubba and I went out in search of the seals that were supposed to hang out on La Jolla beach. It took us a really long time to find them, but eventually we did see them and it was pretty cool. They remind me of my lazy greyhounds, just lounging in the sun.
